Prior to starting at Gosport I worked in neighbourhoods in Portsmouth. I also cover the acting inspector role when needed for response and patrol and neighbourhoods. I have been a sergeant for 7 years now. I really enjoy my work in neighbourhoods and am committed to my community needs.
I lead a really enthusiastic and motivated team of 11 officers. They are committed to meeting the needs of the community and meeting our priorities.
If you have any questions regarding the area which you live in, or wish to have one of the neighbourhood officers visit / call, please call me for a chat on '101'.

- PC Mark Barber
I am into my eighteenth year as a police officer. All but one year have been served at Gosport Police Station. I recently returned to Gosport as a Neighbourhood Police Officer for Bridgemary. I have a wide range of experience as a Police Constable that has included roles on frontline response, pro-active and burglary teams as well six years experience as a Safer Neighbourhood Officer (covering Elson as well as Fareham Town Centre). I also held the role of Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator for Fareham and Gosport. In this role I gained experience in dealing with victims and offenders of ongoing anti-social behaviour. This work ranged from problem solving with partner agencies such as the local Council and housing associations to obtaining anti-social behaviour orders at court.I am very pleased to be back at Gosport and having the opportunity to be back out in the community.
- PC Edmundson Lisa
I joined Hampshire Constabulary as a police officer in 2003 and spent 5 years working on TPT (tactical patrol teams) at Fareham and Park Gate before moving to the safer neighbourhood team in Park Gate where I worked for 3 years.
I enjoy the work of a safer neighbourhood officer, and in particular I enjoy working with the local community and partner agencies to provide a joined up approach in tackling local problems head on.
I joined the Bridgemary Safer neighbourhood team on 31/10/2011 and look forward to getting to know the area and the local community over the coming months.
- PC Celine Bowen
I joined Hampshire Police in April 2001, spending the first two years of my service in Andover both as a response officer and community beat officer. Since then, the majority of my service has been as a neighbourhood officer covering the areas of Paulsgrove, Drayton, Farlington, Gosport Town centre and now Bridgemary. I did spend several months with Special Branch, however it soon became apparent that my niche is within the world of safer neighbourhood policing. The role provides me with the opportunity to really get to the root of problems affecting the community, my aim being to make a positive and permanent impact.
- PC Joseph Smith
I joined Hampshire Constabulary in 2003 and have been stationed at Gosport since that date.
Whilst at Gosport I have spent four years working within TPT (targeted patrol team) and the last four years working within the Alver Valley Beat team.
My present role is to resolve neighbourhood problems and issues engaging with other agencies to achieve a sensible resolution.
If you have any concerns and wish to contact me please do so using the above telephone number or email address.
- PC Anna Whitehead
I joined The Neighbourhood Policing Team in 201, having come from Response and Patrol. Prior to this, I was an infant school teacher. I have a particular interest in interacting with children of all ages and vulnerable adults helping with their understanding of antisocial, violent and criminal behaviour and in turn helping make our neighbourhoods safer and happier places to live in. My wider aim is to deal with the issues relating to the various needs of the community providing good and accountable policing, this includes intelligence gathering to target the issues that matter to our community.
- PCSO Jamie Lewis
I have been a PCSO since February 2007 I was initially based at Petersfield on the Safer Neighbourhood Team covering hook, and petersfield town. I moved to the Alvervalley neighbourhood team in May 2007 and have been involved heavily in cycle safety in Siskin school and cycle coding within the Rowner and Lee on Solent area.
As part of the neighbourhood team we work with partner agencies and members of the community to resolve problems and issues within the beat. We are currently working very closely with First wessex as part of the Rowner regeneration.
If you have any concerns or issues regarding the Alvervalley please feel free to contact me on the above email or mobile.
- PCSO Keren Gray
I am one of three PCSO's covering the Bridgemary, Holbrook, and Peel Common areas of Gosport. I joined Hampshire Police as a PCSO in 2007 working with the Bridgemary Safer Neighbourhood Team.
My role is to support the work of police officers providing a visible and reassuring presence within the community, and attend incidents of disorder, nuisance and anti-social behaviour. Under age drinking is often a factor which causes anti-social behaviour, my evening patrols may include the consfication of alcohol from young people found to be in possession.
Part of my role is community engagement. During my daily duties I may spend time with vulnerable members of the community, provide reasurannce visits to victims of crime, attend community meetings, and visit local schools to talk to children about keeping themselves safe.
I am always interested in the views and problems of the community. Our team work closely with partner agencies such as Gosport Borough Council's community safety team, Streetscene and local housing association's. I will act upon any information given be it an obstruction of the pavement, noise nuisance to anti social behaviour and acts of crime.
If you have any concerns, issues or problems relating to the area you live and would like to talk to someone, please contact me on 0845 045 45 45 or email me at email@example.com
