Takeaway driver robbed

A takeaway delivery driver was robbed of his night's takings as he carried out his rounds.

The driver was approached by a man in who claimed the order was for him in the early hours of this morning.

The delivery man was then robbed and the man ran off with between £100 and £150 of takings.

The robber was is described as white, about 30 years old, about 6ft tall and wearing dark clothes.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, which happened at Rosemary Lane in Ryde between 1.20am and 1.40am this morning, to contact them on 0845 045 45 45.
