TWO men and a woman have been arrested in connection with a daylight armed robbery at a Southampton petrol station.

A man wielding a handgun made off with a large amount of cash from the Total petrol station at Clock Tower Services in Bassett after threatening the manager.

Following the incident, which took place at around 4.30pm on Saturday, the man ran down a footpath next to the garage before getting into a white van parked in Chilworth Road.

Detectives arrested the men, aged 46 and 35, along with a 37-year-old woman, and they are currently helping police with their enquiries.
