Fog causes travel disruption across south

FOG has caused travel disruption in the south this evening.

Southampton Airport said flights both to and from the Channel Islands Guernsey and Jersey have been cancelled due to adverse weather there.

Duty manager Luke Mosley said there is currently some fog in Southampton but it is not affecting flights to other destinations at the moment.

He urged people to check with the airlines before flying and picking up passengers tonight.

Meanwhile Red Funnel ferries say due to heavy fog in the Solent the Hi Speed service is currently running a two boat shuttle service.

Wightlink Ferries said the 6.25pm sailing from Lymington and the 7.30pm sailing from Yarmouth were both cancelled.
