Romsey based LED lighting manufacturer PhotonStar has signed a rolling one-year exclusive supply agreement with a major UK house builder.

It will supply its eco-friendly LED lighting fixtures for all of the developer’s new homes through UK wholesalers.

PhotonStar said the house builder, whose name has not been disclosed, completed 1,500 homes last year.

James Mckenzie, CEO of PhotonStar LED Group, said: “We are delighted that they have now received the endorsement of a major UK house builder. It also serves as a credible introduction into new wholesale stockists”

PhotonStar, based on the Belbins Business Park in Romsey, has seen a rapid growth in the past five years as the market for LED lighting has expanded.

The company’s lighting is being used in the refurbished and expanded food court at WestQuay shopping centre in Southampton.

The group is now valued at over £13m. Revenues increased by 50 per cent to £3.82m in the first half of the year.

The group was admitted to the AIM junior stock market in December 2010.
