Fiona Phillips left Millbrook school in about 1977, the Echo fails to point this out.

Is this a PFI scheme like the other schools whose bleak financial outlook was recently exposed?

Funny, it was £13.6 million when it was being built ....
What did they spend the other £2.4 million on?
.
Then again its still a few feet from where it should have been.
.
And still has hardly any pupils.

Southy are you speaking for whole demographic of those whose children will attend this school. It's negativity from people such as yourself that leads and breads the same negativity in others. This school is a must for this and future generations, if its anything like Oasis Weston they have achieved great things in the past two years.have a look round and see what is on offer before making such stupid bloody comments.

In my defence I didn't benefit from a £16m state of the art education, just one of Mrs Thatchers Incomprehensible Schools a long time ago.

the word change from school to Academy is where you must look ,they have americanised our council controlled schools to now label them academies, why ? because now they can let private companies come in & rent equiptment(computers ect ect ) to the ACADEMY for the milking of the tax payers & childrens educational expence , our schools are not a private business or corporation ,,, this is whats really going down here, this was exposed on panorama not long ago ,,, profits from bankrupting our tax funded schools budgets by private rip off companies .

the building is three stories high did anybody think about putting higher guard rails. the wall and glass barriers are only mid-chest high it will not be to long before some one gets thrown over. there are a lot of bone heads out there.
