Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt orders review of heart unit decision

New doubt over future of heart unit
THE Government has dramatically ordered a review of UK specialist heart units – just three months after the Southampton centre was told it was safe.
Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary, has announced it will be a “very thorough review” but campaigners fear further delays will put children’s lives at risk.
Over 250,000 people signed the Daily Echo’s Have A Heart petition which was taken to Downing Street in a bid to save the city’s specialist unit.
And in July it was announced Southampton would be one of seven national specialist centres that would continue performing heart surgery on children.

has one of the units that's closing put forward a case to stay open?
I want to see the reason why this review is going to happen before I slag it off or say if I'm okay with it.
This article hasn't given enough information to decide if it's okay or if Hunt is out of order so why the attacks?

It's time the NHS was removed from the political arena and placed in the hands of medical professionals. The sole role of politicians should be to fund the NHS through taxes.

No unit is going to want to lose out so objections should have been anticipated when the original decisions were made, and any further reviews only go to show that the government were not confident in their original decision. Mrs Thatcher made some dreadful decisions but at least she had the balls to stick to them which is more than can be said for the bunch of fairy's we have in power now.
Just checked Health Service & three of the units up North that are closing have called for a judicial review & have said the case for closure was unfounded & Hunt has called for a review to check on all the decisions to make sure they were the right ones?

This is not the Tories doing anything wrong but reviewing the way these decisions were made exactly what they're now doing with the rail franchises.
You could say this is the Northern Hospitals fault for being bad losers & no matter who the government was as Denham said they would have had to concentrate all heart units into a few larger ones so it's not political

NHS is not safe in Labour's hands either. They are going to privatise it regardless who is in power and further more the welfare system will be dismantled.
There is no Labour Party any more. Blair and Brown changed it. It is merely a less right wing version of the Tories.
However don't go thinking your tax bill will go down it won't. It will be used to assist business.

I read all these before I criticised Jeremy Hunt & after reading the NHS article listening to both the reporter & Denham I realised this wasn't started by the Tory Government & as long as the review was above board in the first place our unit should have nothing to fear.

As it happens, Gordon Brown cleared the debt when he was Chancellor, but did not need interest rates in the teens, with Bailiffs being the only growth industry and millions out of work.

I have disagreed with the Tory party over the Bio Mass & I would have ripped into them if at ACAS they hadn't tried to talk to the unions but they did the unions wouldn't.
If this was Jeremy Hunts decision because of the Rail franchise chaos I would have called for his head but it wasn't & it was down to three hospitals claiming the review wasn't fair.
So please explain to me where I'm blinkered?
Please explain to me when I was saying to the refuse workers ( many are my friends) take this cut keep your jobs do the overtime or watch out you could be out of work how was I blinkered when by the looks of it I was dead right?
Just because Williams & his Labour colleagues with the help of two union officials have lied & betrayed the workforce & seemingly fooled you into believing every word they say that doesn't make me blinkered but makes you look a little blind to the truth doesn't it?
When Blair took over from the Tory Government the economy was on the mend & whilst him & Brown carried on with the Tory plans every thing was going hunky Dory but then came the Labour policies & now look at us
