A HAMPSHIRE shop was the target of an attempted armed robbery.
A masked man waited behind a customer to be served before he pulled out what is believed to be a small handgun and demanded cash from a shop assistant.
When the shop worker refused to hand anything over saying they could not access it, the man fled from the store and rode off on a dirty old white mountain bike.
The attempted raid happened in McColls convenience store in Longstock Crescent, Totton just before 8pm.
The man is described as 6ft tall, slim and white. He wore a dark baseball cap, a black jacket and blue hoodie. He also wore a dark scarf with white specks on it wrapped around his lower face.
Anyone with information about the attempted robbery on Sunday, October 21 should call PC Dean Miller at Lyndhurst CID on 101.
