Hunt for women who stole trolley full of shopping from Tesco
4:19pm Friday 26th October 2012 in News
By Chris Yandell, Chief Reporter, New Forest
POLICE are hunting two women after groceries worth £350 were stolen from a Hampshire supermarket.
Officers have released CCTV images of the women police want to track down.
A woman distracted a security guard at the Tesco store in Sizer Way, Dibden, while her accomplice left the building with a trolley full of goods that had had not been paid for.
The women with the trolley was white, about 5ft, aged between 40 and 65 years, plump, with long dark hair pulled back into a pony tail.
Her accomplice was in her teens or early twenties, slim, with long black hair. She was wearing black leggings, a white T-shirt and a silver-coloured cardigan.
Ring PC Heather Barrow at Hythe police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Why would someone steal that much food from tesco? I mean what the hell?

How do they know it's £350 worth of goods if it didn't go through the till? I guess Tesco did a full stock-take following the theft.

Looks like she needs to go on a diet and food should be the last thing on her mind! JJB Sports would of been a better place in her condition!

Instead of taking the p1ss, maybe we should be trying to help catch them. As someone else said, we all end up paying for thieving.
1st, the trolleys at Tesco, Dibden, do not need £1, 2nd, I've lived on Netley View for 10 years and have never had any problem, in fact they are probably the nicest people you could meet, 3rd the trolleys can not go beyond certain points in the car park so why did security not stop them? They must have had a car and by the looks of the trolley it would have taken a fair amount of time to fill their car boot!,,,

Why can't Tesco just let it go? I'm sure they will manage just fine.. they have contributed towards a society where the low paid have to resort to crime to get by.. they will spend more than £350 to catch these 2 and its us the taxpayer who ultimately pays for court cases, prison sentences and its the lawyers who ultimately just get richer and richer..
