All set for giant fireworks extravaganza tonight

ONE of Hampshire’s top attractions is staging its annual fireworks spectacular tonight.

The Daily Echo-backed event at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, is due to start at 7.30pm, when the first rockets will soar into the night sky.

The theme of this year’s display is superheroes, with a prize being awarded for the best fancy dress.

Many of the visitors are expected to arrive early and tour the museum, including the Bond in Motion exhibition, before watching the fireworks.

The complex was hit by a one-hour power cut yesterday after a tree fell against an overhead power cable at Ipers Bridge, knocking out supplies to about 300 customers in Beaulieu and neighbouring Holbury.

Electric tills were replaced by old fashioned manual machines until power was restored.

Its October not November 5th, why do we have to put up with this for such a long period. Xmas will be celebrated at Easter soon.

Can't we move Nov 5 to the summer, it's always cold and cloudy in November.
