Major air and sea search underway

A major air and sea search has been launched off the Hampshire coast for a missing yachtsman believed to have fallen overboard.

The search began after the yacht was found beached near Brigstone on the Isle of Wight with its engine still running and its sails up.

Coastguards say the skipper left Poole, Dorset, on Saturday, and was intending to sail to the Hayling Island.
