Police probe man's death

A POLICE investigation is underway into the death of a man in Gosport.

Police were called to an address in Williams Close at 7.49pm on Saturday and a 48-year-old man from Gosport was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as suspicious and next-of-kin have been informed. An initial post-mortem examination was conducted by a Home Office pathologist today and the overall findings were inconclusive. Toxicology tests will now be carried out on the body and HM Coroner has been updated.

Two men, aged 40 and 43, from Gosport have been released on police bail until December 20 pending further enquiries.
