Police release two men held over Lordshill knife attack
TWO people who were arrested over the stabbing of a man in Southampton have been bailed.
Detectives leading the inquiry confirmed that a 28-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were released after questioning on police bail pending further inquiries.
Witnesses spoke of seeing a man with blood pouring out of him as he made his way towards the petrol station.
Blood soaked clothes could be seen at the forecourt after paramedics were called to the scene to treat the victim.
A trail of blood could also be seen around the community leading back to the area around Saturn Close where it is thought the stabbing took place.
Police teams spent Sunday at a property in the road, where the two suspects were also thought to have been arrested.
The victim was taken to Southampton General Hospital were he remained last night (MON). He is understood to be awaiting surgery for the injuries which were described as serious but not life threatening.
Meanwhile police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident that is thought to have happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A police spokesman confirmed that the two people questioned on suspicion of causing GBH with intent were released on police bail until December.
