A police hunt has been launched for two men who burst into a Hampshire home and attacked one of people in there.

Detectives say the iattackers may have got the wrong address when they stuck on Sunday.

They say that sometime between 12.30pm and 1pm, two men forced their way into an address in Harvey Place, Andover.

Once inside, the men threatened the occupants and one of them was assaulted.

The men then ran off.

Detective Constable Rob Harrington, from Andover CID, said: “This was a very unusual incident and although the men weren’t known to the victims, we do not think this was a random event and one of our lines of enquiry is that this was a mistaken address.

“Were you in the area at the time of this incident? Did you see or hear anything suspicious? If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch.”

The first man is described as: black, 5ft 2ins, around 30, and of medium build.

He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, a black scarf over his face, and black jeans or trousers.

The second man is described as: black, taller than the first man, of muscular build, and aged in his 20s, with stubble.

He was wearing a black hooded top with black writing on it.
