Former Echo photographer Bob Sollars.
WELL-known Winchester photographer Bob Sollars, who worked regularly for the Daily Echo has died, aged 94.
His funeral was being held today at St Stephen’s church in Sparsholt.
Mr Sollars served in the Royal Marines in the Second World War and returned to his birthplace, Winchester, where he set up his photography business in 1952 with a studio on City Road.
As well as the Daily Echo, he took photos for the Hampshire Chronicle and a host of national newspapers.
