Woman jailed for headbutt assault
A clubber who headbutted a woman has been found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Melissa Louise Caplen, 30, of Englefield Road, Southampton, was charged with assault on April 30 after the 33-year-old victim was head-butted at the Orange Rooms, in Bedford Place in the city on April 1.
Caplen was sentenced to nine months in prison, suspended for 18 months, 200 hours’ unpaid work and ordered to pay £1,000 compensation to her victim.
