Police are hunting robbers who attacked a teenager and then stripped off his clothes in Hampshire.

It happened when the 19-year-old victim was approached by two men who asked him to hand over his property.

When the victim told them that he didn’t have anything, the men assaulted him by punching and kicking him in the head and face.

All of the his clothes were then removed from him, before the offenders ran off with them.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of the assault which happened as he was walking along Vigo Road, in Andover.

Police have today issued descriptions of the two men they want to speak to.

The first man is described a white, aged in his early 20s, about 5ft 10ins to 5ft 11ins, of stocky build, with a medium round face, clean shaven with blond hair poking through his hood.

He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up, and grey tracksuit bottoms that were a slim fit and had a tattoo of a name on the left side of his neck.

The second man is described as white, aged in his early 20s, 5ft 8ins tall of skiiny build with stubble on his face.

He was wearing a black zip up hooded top which was undone with the hood up. Underneath he was wearing a dark coloured, possibly navy blue, jumper with white horizontal stripes, and black denim jeans.

PC Edward Tyrie said: “This is an unusual incident in that when the victim told the offenders he did not have any property to handover to them, they assaulted him and removed all of this clothes.

“Fortunately the victim only received minor injuries as a result of the assault. This would have been a frightening ordeal for him.

“I am appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to come forward. Were you in the area at the time of the incident?

“Did you see anyone matching these descriptions hanging around the area or making their way from the scene?

“I would urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward and speak to us and help us find the two people responsible.”

Anyone with any information on the incident which happened between 10.30pm and 10.45pm on October 29 should contact PC Tyrie at Andover CID on 101, or call the Crimestoppers charity, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
