TWO men have appeared in court charged with dealing class A in Southampton.

Rico Tracey and Phillip Bruce, both from London, were arrested by Hampshire police investigating the supply of cocaine and heroin in the city.

They were detained last month by officers working as part of the Operation Fortress initiative aimed at cracking down on the hard drugs trade in Southampton.

It is alleged they conspired together with five other men to supply heroin and cocaine at an address in Northbrook Road.

Both are accused of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Tracey, 25, of St Louis Road, London, is also accused of failing to surrender to police bail at the appointed time.

He was arrested on October 17 and was remanded in custody when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on October 18.

Bruce, 26, of Dunbar Street, London, was arrested on October 20 and was bailed when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on October 22.

Both men are now due to appear at Southampton Crown Court on December 14.
