Remembrance services are taking place across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight tomorrow.
Among them are:
- Southampton, 10:46am. A parade from the Civic Centre led by the City of Southampton Albion Band to The Cenotaph, for a multi-faith service.
- Bassett, 10am. A public Remembrance event at Sunrise Senior Living on Burgess Road with a service and entertainment until 4pm.
- Winchester, 9:10am. A few words will be said at the statue outside the Cathedral before everyone moves indoors for the service.
- Fort Nelson, 11am and 2pm. Remembrance Day Salute. Gun firings and presentations.
- Hedge End, 10:30am. A parade from the 2000 Centre car park, St John’s Road, to St John’s memorial for a service at 11am.
- Eastleigh, 10:15am. A parade from the Mitchell Road car park, through the town centre to the memorial for a service at 11am.
- Netley Marsh, 10am. A parade from the British Legion, Station Road, to St Edwards Church, Grange Road for a service at 10:50am.
- Netley Marsh, 10:30am. A service at St Mathews church.
- Netley, 3pm. A service at the Military Cemetry.
- Copythorne, 9:30am. A procession from the Parish Hall to St Mary’s Church for a 10am service.
- Romsey, 10:50am. A parade from the memorial park to Romsey Abbey for a service starting at 11:30am.
- Fawley, 2:30pm. A parade from Fawley Village to All Saints’ Church for a service at 3pm.
- Sway, 9:30am. A service at St Luke’s Parish Church followed by a wreath laying at the war memorial at 11am.
- Ringwood, 10:45am. A service at St Peter and St Paul Parish Church.
- Fordingbridge, 10am. Wreaths laid at the memorial gate, followed by a parade to St Mary’s Church for a service at 10:40am.
- Fareham, 10:30am. A procession will go down Western Road to a service at Trinity Church in West Street.
- Lymington, 10:30am. A procession from the Town Hall car park to St Thomas’ Church for a service at 11am.
- Dibden Purlieu, 10:30am. A service at All Saints Church followed by a march to the Lych Gate to lay wreaths and then to the war memorial at Hythe hospital.
- Dibden Purlieu, 11am. A family Parade service will be held at St Andrew’s Church.
- Newport, 10:30am. A procession from Drill Hall Road to St Thomas Square where there will be a wreath laying service at 10:50, after the service, the procession will reform and march to St James Square.
- Newport, 2:30pm. A service at Parkhurst Military Cemetary followed by drinks at the Camp Hill Bowls Club.
- Cowes, 10:30am. A procession from Northwood House Car park to the Cenotaph onto Northwood Church for a service.
- Portsmouth, 10:30am. A procession and service in Guildhall Square incorporating a gun fire from HMS Nelson.
