Police are appealing for witnesses after a 72-year-old man was assaulted at a bus stop.
The unprovoked attack happened at about 10.30am, after the elderly man went to sit on a seat at the bus stop near Barclays Bank in Commercial Road, Portsmouth.
The victim was told by the attacker it was his seat.
The elderly man moved away and started speaking with another man, when the attacker verbally abused the victim and punched him in the chest.
The suspect was described as: About 54-54-years-old, five feet eight inches tall, stocky, and with stubble.
At the time of the incident on November 1 he was wearing a brown jacket.
PC Kirstie White said: “This was an unprovoked attack on an elderly man in a busy location, which is likely to have drawn attention to passers by.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who recognises the attacker from the description.”
