A ROAD shut after a crash involving a school bus and lorry has now re-opened.
The incident involving an articulated lorry and a coach, running as a school bus, happened in West Tytherley, on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border shortly after 8am today.
Fortunately the bus was empty at the time except for the driver.
It is thought the bus had been due to pick up children going to school when the incident happened.
The driver of the lorry had to be cut free by firefighters and has been taken to Salisbury District Hospital by ambulance with pelvis injuries, but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
The coach driver was unharmed.
Police said the road on which the crash happened, The Warren, was cleared and re-opened around 1pm.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said they had sent two fire crews from Romsey and one from Stockbridge.
