Road closed after serious crash
A MAJOR city artery has been closed following an accident involving a pedestrian and a car.
The Avenue in Southampton has been partially closed near the junction with Lodge Road following the incident earlier this evening.
It is understood the pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries in the incident, and has been taken to Southampton General Hospital, according to police.
