DRESSED as all things weird and wonderful, staff and students gave up their lunch break yesterday to raise hundreds for Children in Need.

Up to 600 staff and students from Itchen Sixth Form College and children from the nursery donated £2 to don fancy dress – from superhero costumes and onesies to mankinis and Morph suits – for a mile-long charity run around the campus.

The college, which aims to collect £1,000, joined hundreds of schools, organisations and clubs across Hampshire raising money for Children in Need this week, with the majority of fundraising events taking place today.

They included youngsters at Hazel Wood Infant School and Bursledon Infant School, who were both treated to a magic show by children’s entertainer Adam the Magic Music Man in return for donations to Children in Need. More than £300 was raised for the charity.
