At 83mg of alcohol it should have been a lifetime ban and a minimum 5 yrs imprisonment.
That is over twice the legal limit, and a killer on the loose....
There is NO excuse for being that high a reading other than didn't care....
The law needs to become more severe on drunk drivers...

The sentence is too short. If she had had an accident and killed someone the victims family would have suffered a life sentence she, should have at least got a prison sentence. These D/D's are scum and with the dreaded 'christmas' coming up my phone will be working overtime reporting any that I see or know of. 80999 is (was) the text number.

Why?? standard ban is 12 months per fail ie 24 for double over limit. fine relative to income.

Being caught driving at anything over the legal limit should at the VERY least be a 5 year driving ban, have to retake their driving test, banned for 5 years from buying alcohol, even if it's a little can of shandy and made to pay a £500 fine within a month of being caught, as sotonbusdriver rightly said, drunk drivers are killers on the loose.
