Isle fof Wight Festival keeps licence for 2013
The Isle of Wight Festival has been told it can keep its licence, following a review today.
Organisers were told they must publish documents regarding safety plans and traffic management ahead of the event.
But they were told they would not have their licence restricted to five years or have the number of festivalgoers permitted reduced.
Organisers Solo had told the hearing they have already spent £200,000 on new traffic plans for the event, following last year's festival which was plunged into chaos when torrential rain closed car parks and caused huge tailbacks.
John Giddings, who owns the company behind the festival, also told the Daily Echo that car park capacity would be quadrupled, along with the number of entrances into car parks.
Aerospace company GNK had called for the licensing review, after it said the travel chaos cost them £50,000.

No mention that Mr Giddings will now be introducing a car parking charge?
Now to turn distaster into a profit in one swoop !!!!!
