A HAMPSHIRE yacht club enjoyed a right royal celebration when the Duke of Edinburgh dropped in for a visit.
Prince Phillip was invited to the Royal Southern Yacht Club in Hamble for a special luncheon engagement - the final event in the club's 175th anniversary year.
During the visit, he viewed a model of a proposed new yacht haven which will be named after the club's Royal patron.
He was accompanied at Friday's event by the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, Dame Mary Fagan, club commodore Mark Inkster and Commodore Ian Redsell of the Royal Air Force Yacht Club.
