Hampshire sailing hero Ben Ainslie will not bid for a fifth Olympic gold medal, it has been revealed.
The 35-year-old has announced he will not participate in the 2016 Rio Games and will instead focus on his Americas Cup campaign.
Ben, from Lymington, has revealed that it would have been "difficult to top" the feeling of winning his fourth gold at his home Olympics at Weymouth earlier this year.
The announcement came as Ben, who was given an open topped bus tour of his thome town after his OLympic glory, was shortlisted for the prestigious BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
