Collapsed sewer closes city road
A BUSY Southampton city centre road will close tomorrow for repairs to a collapsed sewer.
Motorists and residents are being warned that Onslow Road will be closed in both directions from 9.30am tomorrow for the emergency sewer repairs.
The closure will be in place between Peterborough Road and Mount Pleasant Road, a Southampton City Council spokesman said.
Southern Water will carry out the works which are set to last about five days.
There will be a diversion in place via Dorset Street, The Avenue and Lodge Road.

It was dug up at the exact same spot only last year, and again the year before that.
Incompetent idiots are two words that spring to mind.
It is about time that if they dig up a section of road, all services get their **** in gear and repair, or replace while there is the HOLE there....
It is getting a joke across the city, when a hole is filled and another provider comes along and digs the same dam spot...
