They say all good things must come to an end.

And, if you heed the warnings of certain believers in the Mayan calendar, the world will reach its climax on December 21 this year.

But with 23 days to go until that supposedly fatal day arrives, there is still time to appreciate exactly how good planet Earth is, by looking at it from a totally different perspective.

Just last month, Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner took himself to the edge of space, enjoying the once-in-a-lifetime view of the world, before jumping back down to it from 23 miles up.

Assuming you don’t have the bank balance to fund a solo mission to the edge of space, today’s entry in the Daily Echo’s unique bucket list challenges you to emulate Felix to a much smaller extent – by taking a similar leap of faith from the relative safety of an aeroplane.

Put that fear of heights behind you and behold the beauty of the south coast as you have never seen it before, during a 10,000ft skydive. If simply watching a skydive from a distance appeals much more to you, then a certain James Bond may be able to help. With 23 days left until Armageddon, today’s the day to start ploughing through the official collection of 23 Bond films, culminating in the latest blockbuster quite aptly named for the occasion: Skyfall.
