EMERGENCY services are dealing with water flowing down a cracked road in Romsey.
Police have been redirecting traffic, but fire services have now closed off the upper part of Bell Street from the Palmerston roundabout.
Witnesses described how they heard rushing water and looked out to see the tarmac burst and water cascading down the road.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said two fire engines were in attendance having been alerted at 2.45pm to an influx of water in the basement of the town hall due to a mains water leak and there was around 10cm of water.
