Assault charge
A MAN has been charged with trying to commit a sex assault in Hampshire.
Robert Rouse, from Wickham Road, Fareham, has been charged with committing an offence with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence.
The 23-year-old is also charged with possession of a bladed article during the incident involving a 38-year-old woman on a footpath behind Watersmeet, Fareham Creek, last Thursday.
He appeared at South East Hampshire Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody to appear at Fareham Magistrates’ Court on January 7.
