Pensioner cut free from wreckage after crash
AN ELDERLY motorist had to be cut free from her car after smashing into bollards on a Southampton road.
The woman was taken to hospital for a check-up following the crash on Weston Parade, at around 8pm last night.
Firefighters from Hightown took the roof off her Ford hatchback car following the collision with the traffic calming bollards on the seafront road, because of fears the motorist may have suffered a serious neck injury.
It is believed no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
