Scores of campaigners are set to gather at a Hampshire train station tomorrow to protest against rail fare hikes.
Commuters will stand together outside Southampton Central station tomorrow morning as part of a nationwide day of action.
The protests, which have been organised by TUC’s Action for Rail campaign, come after the latest wave of price increases.
As reported by the Daily Echo, commuters across Hampshire will be hit by inflation-busting fare hikes from January.
But service users in South-ampton will unite between 7am and 8am to hit back at the move.
Campaigners plan to hand out special Christmas cards at 50 stations across the UK, with a mocked-up message from train companies.
It will remind rail users that as well as fare rises and staff cuts in the new year, they can also look forward to a year of cancelled trains and ticket office closures.
