The agency said staff are continuing to monitor the situation and are carrying out this work to be fully prepared for any further rainfall over the coming days.

With flooding now becoming a reality around the country, the Environment Agency has issued some advice to residents.
Paul Mustow, head of flood incident management, said: "With four severe flood warnings in force and further rain forecast, it is vital that communities remain flood aware.
"Flooding has a devastating impact on people's lives and our teams have been working throughout the night to reduce the risk of flooding. Our thoughts are with people who have been affected and advice on what to do to stay safe in a flood and clearing up afterwards can be found on our website.
"If you're going away for the holidays, give yourself extra time to make your journey, check your route before travelling and avoid driving through flood water.
"If you're leaving your property empty over Christmas, check the risk of flooding before you leave, move valuable items to safety and ask neighbours to keep an eye on your home."

Flooding on Calmore Road in Totton is causing misery for residents who are fed up with having to dig out the sandbags to protect their homes.
Families in the street woke up this morning to find the road in front of their homes submerged under water yet again, as the ditch in Michigan Way reached its full capacity.
Sandbags lined the front of many driveways in a bid to stop the flow of water into their gardens and teams from the Highways Agency tried to ease difficulties for drivers by placing piles of sandbags in strategic locations along the road.
Most drivers drove through the stream of water at slow speeds, but some failed to adhere to the signs urging them to slow down, spraying water up over the sandbags and into the driveways of residents.
Alan Brown, who has lived on Calmore Road for 25 years, said: “Something has got to be done to sort this out. This is the worst it has been for a while and we can't put up with it much longer.”
