Vandals target Christmas lights

CHILDREN were left upset after a yob vandalised their family's outdoor Christmas display.

They were woken by the supect as he tried to steal decorations from the front garden of their home in Prestwood Road in Hedge End.

The decorations and lights were damaged as he ripped them down.

He is white, in late teens, clean shaven, average height and slender build with short dark hair and was wearing a red checked shirt and light colour jeans.

Details of the incident on Sunday, December 23, at 12.50am, have been released as police step up their investigation.

Anyone with information can call Hampshire Police on 101.

i can understand the children are upset but surely the best place for decorations is on the inside?

That's not the point...... If people place items on their property, they shouldn't expect others to come and destroy it.
