Two die in Hamsphire road crash
TWO people were pronounced dead at the scene of a horrific Christmas morning crash in Hampshire.
They were passengers in a car which was involved in a collision on the B3349 Odiham Road near Basingstoke.
The driver was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police say a member of the public reported the crash at about 10.05am.
Next of kin has been notified but police say they are not in the position to identify the dead passengers until all formal identification procedures have been carried out.
The B3011 and the B3349 will be shut until later this afternoon while an investigation is carried out.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call the Hampshire Constabulary Road Death Investigation Team at Eastleigh Police Station on 101 or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
