Police in new appeal after brawl outside takeaway
Police are making a fresh appeal for more witnesses to a fight in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Officers were called to Dalyan Kebab and Pizza House in Birmingham Road shortly after midnight on the morning of Saturday, December 8, 2012.
A fight involving five men and a woman had taken place inside the takeaway.
A 24-year-old man, an 18-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of affray.
The 24-year-old man was later released with no further action. The 18-year-old man and the 23-year-old woman remain on police bail until January 4, 2013.
Investigating officer PC Angela Wood said: “Members of the public were in fear of their safety during the fight.
"One member of the public helped staff in removing some of those fighting from the shop.
"Police would like thank people who have spoken with the officers already about what happened.
" I am appealing for anyone else who was in the takeaway on Friday night (December 7) or early on Saturday morning (December 8) to come forward.”
Witnesses to the collision or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Angela Wood at Newport Police Station by phoning 101.
