Police are investigating two burglaries at home addresses in Portchester.

Between 11am and 11pm on December 23, 2012, someone gained entry to an address in Anson Grove.

Jewellery and a HP gold laptop with a butterfly design were stolen.

Investigating officer PC Samantha Gee said: “Were you in the area on Sunday and did you see anyone acting suspiciously? Do you have any information about the stolen property?

Meanwhile police are also appealing for any witnesses who were in or around ‘The Close’ area of Portchester on December 23 between 5.45pm and 7.15pm.

A burglary occurred at a terraced property in a quiet cul-de-sac while the residents were out.

Items reported stolen included a number of electrical items such as a Compaq laptop, a Kindle, a silver MP3 player and a Nikon camera.

Police Staff Investigator Jane Dye said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed one or two people acting suspiciously in the area or anyone who may have been offered these items.”
