An appeal for witnesses is being made by detectives investigating a fight outside a pub in Southsea.
Police were called to the junction of Milton Road and Priory Crescent near the Brewers Arms at 8.44pm on Sunday, December 23, 2012.
A 30-year-old man from Portsmouth received injuries to his arms after it’s alleged he was attacked by another man, believed to be carrying a knife.
While the men were fighting, it is also believed there was a collision involving the suspect and a passing vehicle, which was described as a taxi.
Detective Constable Julie Way of Portsmouth CID said: “This was a vicious violent attack with a weapon.
"Police are appealing for any witnesses to the fight, and the driver of the vehicle that we believe had a collision with the suspect.”
Witnesses or anyone with information about the fight are asked to contact CID at Fratton Police Station by phoning 101.
