HAMPSHIRE residents are being urged to transform their festive waste into beautiful woodland.
From January 2 Marks and Spencer stores across the county will be home to specially marked Christmas card recycling bins from the Woodland Trust.
For every 1,000 cards recycled between then and January 31, the fashion retailer will plant one tree with the trust.
Last year more than eight million cards were collected resulting in the planting of more than 8,000 extra trees during 2012.
