Gang beat and robb man in city street
FOUR robbers punched and kicked a Southampton man as they stole his wallet during an attack in a Southampton street.
The 21-year-old was stopped in an alleyway between garages that leads to Octavia Road in Mansbridge.
The men demanded valuables from him, before punching him in the face and kicking him repeatedly while he was on the ground.
They stole his wallet, which contained several cards and around £140, and then ran off towards Itchenside View.
The victim was left him with cuts, grazes and bruising to his face and body.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses who saw the incident or anything suspicious in the area around the time of the robbery, which happened at around 3.35am on Saturday.
The robbers are all described as black and in their 20s.
Anyone with information should call Detective Constable Steve Lanham at Bitterne CID on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Yes there are people on benefits in the area, but there are also people who have bought their first property to get a step on the property ladder, there are also many people who have chosen never to move because this area is home... I live nearby, am fully employed, own my own property... So am I a 'nasty excuse' too?! Your comment is extremely narrow minded!
some very nasty exscuses for people live in that road.
