Hampshire commuters stranded by rail fault near Waterloo
HAMPSHIRE commuters have been left stranded after train tracking equipment failed during rush hour.
The fault at Barnes junction has meant trains cannot leave or enter Waterloo, where currently thousands of passengers are crowding into the station.
Network Rail said engineers are at the site of the failure which has meant trains cannot move along the Richmond to Waterloo route.

No Hampshire commuters are likely to be stranded by this - that line doesn't go into Hampshire at all. Worst case might be light disruption.
Nothing can beat the excuse I heard a few years ago whilst working in Salisbury... "We apologise, but the 6.30 Portsmouth Harbour service has been cancelled due to a collision with a cow" ... true story
