A TEENAGER from Southampton went on a drunken rampage, stealing a car and assaulting a police officer.
The 17-year-old broke into a pensioner’s garage in Ringwood Drive in North Baddesley and stole a white Peugeot 106.
The youth was eventually arrested in the Waitrose car park in Alma Road, Romsey, after being seen driving erratically.
He has pleaded guilty to burglary, assaulting a police officer, violence in a police station, and drink-driving.
The defendant, who can’t be named for legal reasons, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Southampton Youth Court on Monday, January 21.
