No opposition to MP’s plans for a supermarket Bill (From Daily Echo)

Cant blame Tesco for that one. They are not a meat processor nor a packer. It would appear to me that their supplier has added the horse meat as a cheaper substitute. Maybe because of Tesco aggressive policy of screwing the suppliers into accepting less money.

Why is this guy wasting his time doing this ???
Surely Trading Standards are qualified to sort Tescos out.

Probably because he did not want customers ripped off, which is, I guess, why there was no opposition from any MPs or any party.

Also, I am certain the John Denham did not mention Tesco by name, nor was his motion addressed just at them.

If you are prepared to eat cattle then why not horses?
OK, there is misleading labelling, but it's still dead animal all the same.

Keep your wits about you and you won't have a problem. Supermarkets have been doing this for years. My children always check and compare prices, then buy what they want/can afford or have room for.

Be better if he brought in a bill preventing supermarkets putting what you want on the top shelf out of reach of anybody who isn't 2metres tall or has a step ladder!. The pricing i can cope with, climbing to the top shelf safely is getting beyond me.

It is not a sign of defeat to ask someone to help you.

I assume that if there were an elderly person, who was not very nimble, who had difficulty picking ups something from the bottom shelf, you would offer to help.
