Snow chaos - live updates (From Daily Echo)

• "Yet again the council fail to prepare and fail to act. This is becoming more and more a regular occurance - snow in the winter shock horror! - yet it's the same old story and always an excuse from the "people in power". It rained first blah blah blah.....Get ploughs and gritters out working around the close and for pitys sake buy more of the machines who cares what it costs, it'll be a **** sight less that the economy will be losing on these "snow days" every year.

  Drove to work and did not see the chaos you speak of just lots and lots of people who didn't clear their cars of snow before setting off. Some even just switched the windscreen whipers on and off they went. Lights obstructed by snow, roofs piled with snow. Idiots!"
