  • "They did grit our road, but guess what when snow falls and settles on the grit, the grits gets buried. Even salt won't stop it sticking if enough snow falls.

    Stop moaning, it doesn't happen that often here.

    Apart from essential workers, most people will cope for a couple of days with what they have in stock.

    Only people who need to get to work are the essential services and it makes much more sense to leave the roads empty for them.

    People who live close by who can safely walk to work can man shops.

    Business be thankful it is the weekend and not Monday. If folk want and need your business then they can get what they need when the snow clears. You haven't lost any business it is merely delayed."
