Police hunt allotment chicken thieves
POLICE are appealing for information after 20 chickens were stolen from the Recreation Allotments, Botley Road, Curdridge.
Two eight-month-old Buff Orpington hens were snatched, along with one Buff Orpington cockerel and 12 Columbian Black-tails, including one which was distinctively pale and another with a white tail.
The thieves also stole five Warren chickens.
Entry to the site in Curdridge, near Bishop’s Waltham, was forced at some point between 3.30pm on Wednesday, January 16, and 3pm on Thursday, January 17.
