Man in court on kidnap charge
A WINCHESTER man has appeared in court on a charge of conspiring to kidnap a person.
David Layton, 61, of Grange Road, St Cross, is also charged with assault and injuriously imprisoning Darren Osborne and detaining him against his will on January 19. He is also accused of assaulting Mr Osborne causing him actual bodily harm.
Magistrates at Basingstoke court remanded Layton in custody and he will appear before Winchester Crown Court on February 5.
