POLICE are investigating a house break-in at Rownhams in which jewellery was stolen.

Officers say brooches, earrings, a pocket watch, a solitaire diamond engagement ring thought to be about 70 years old and other jewellery was taken during the burglary at Fyford Close in the village.

Details of the value of the stolen property have not been released.

The house was broken into on Monday night.

A glass door was smashed to gain entry.
