Driver in hospital after car crashes into tree
A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries today after his car crashed in to a tree and a lamp post on a Hampshire road.
The 51-year-old was driving his Vauxhall Vectra along Copnor Road in Portsmouth when the incident happened at 3am.
Police closed the road for several hours while they examined the scene and cleared the wreckage.
Witnesses have been asked to call Fratton Roads Policing Unit on 101.
